TITLE: Sales Associate
REPORTS TO: the glassblower/owner, Bob Meyer - as well as to Vicki Meyer when she is present
PURPOSE: To essentially act as an extension of the glassblower/owner (Bob). This includes not only the obvious roles of cleaning and maintaining displays, but to also act as a liaison between Bob and any customer or vendor that has an interest in dealing with the business.

Ocean Beaches Glassblowing & Gallery was established to share the unique nature of blown glass - to make the glassblowing process more accessible to the general public and generate enthusiasm and excitement about the process as well as the final product.
While the business has expanded to include other art, that original goals remain. Everyone here is expected to have some degree of passion with regard to our art that can be passed on to visitors - excitement about the glassblowing process and final product, certainly, but also about the other art that we display in the gallery.
Generating this enthusiasm for our art entails pursuit of three primary goals:
1. Put on demonstrations that allow people to see the artistic process first-hand.
2. Provide a customer service approach that allows visitors to freely roam the gallery without being pestered - while making sure that visitors are well-attended and any of their questions are answered promptly. This also requires an extensive knowledge about our various art forms, from which virtually any questions can be answered.
3. Display art in an exceptionally visually attractive way, meaning that it will be well organized but not too linear, that it will offer a wide range of choices but not look crowded, and that it will be well-lit and exceptionally clean.
